These images below tell how insensitive and wicked Governor David Umahi and his government are to the plights of Ebonyians.
These are pictures of men and women who are currently in hostage at the Abakaliki Zonal Office of SEB at the order of the Governor who ordered that a Verification Exercise be conducted for all the Teachers in Ebonyi State, and in obedience to his order, these poor ones left their homes, some as early as 6am, especially those who were coming from the rural areas of the State where they would travel for more than 30 kilometers to come for the exercise in the Urban where the exercise was to be conducted.
It is past 10pm by my time, and as I write this, more than 300 Ebonyians are at the Abakaliki Zonal Office of SEB at Ugwuachara.
The funny and most cruel of it all is that inspite of the overwhelming security challenges currently plaguing the state, the State Government didn’t deem it fit to secure the lives of people there by sending security men to the place, not even Scout people are there, let alone the policemen.
You need to see the pains these people are subjected to, especially the aged and nursing mothers who left their homes without their infant kids.
When I say that the only thing Governor David Nweze Umahi derives maximum joy is seeing Ebonyians suffer and languish like the Biblical children in the land of Egypt, many would argue, but the truth is that, indeed, Governor Umahi’s joy comes only when he sees Ebonyians suffer!
Please, if your sister, mother or any of your relation is a teacher with the SEB, especially under the Abakaliki Zone, do well to put a call across to him or her, and if possible, get food across to them.
